Hi, I'm Eric, I love Mountain Biking and I'm trying to get you hooked too.
As a California kid I grew up surfing, skateboarding and snowboarding. Now that I've been mountain biking for 20 years or something that is pretty much all I want to do. Technically I'm pretty old but mountain biking keeps me feeling young.
I'm married to my sweetheart and we are blessed with 8 awesome children. If I can find time to ride, I bet you can too.
I hope that you'll subscribe and join me on my rides. I believe that you are never too old to have fun and ride fast.
Let's get out and ride.

Zooropa Trail Draper Utah (2024 Summer Rebuild)
Zooropa trail Draper Utah has received another HUGE update. Riding this trail fast makes me feel like we're on some trail built by Brandon Semenuk. Not the big jumps, but the flow, berms, corners and shark fins, Oh My! Zooropa Trail is now running better than I've ever seen it. Last year I posted an update video to let you know about the changes at the top. Those were incredible and now they are even better with a few things cleaned up. The lower sectoin however, this was fun but awkward when it first came out and then quickly fell into decline as few people rode it and the berms became rock piles and the trail overgrew with weeds. Well now the original vision of lower Zooropa has been realized. The awkward parts have been removed, better placed jumps, clean lips fast downhill without a massive amount of extra pedaling has made this trail what I think will be one of the crown jewels of Corner Canyon Draper Utah. Go check out the new and improved Zooropa and tell me I'm wrong. The jumps are progressive, so you aren't forced to go big, but you can if you want. The berms are absolutely beautiful and the loose rocky chunder that plagued the trail previously is all forgotten. This is now a rad trail in my book. Hope I see you out there!

Birdsong DH in Ogden

Birdsong DH trail in Ogden Utah. This is a quick little loop, but can be painful as I'll show you today. Birdsong is right by Ogden Bike Park (OBP). This little trail has some slat bridge riding, some jumps, some drops. It's a lot of fun. But don't overcook the roller jump things. OUCH!
Jacob's, Rush, Maple Hollow - Enduro Route in CC | Spring 2024
Переглядів 653Місяць тому
Jacob's Ladder, Rush, Maple Hollow and finally Oak Hollow This was an enduro style ride, a big day out in Corner Canyon, Draper Ut. We hit 3 big trails and 1 smaller trail for the downhills. No shuttles involved today, so we did 18.5 miles and 3600 or so vertical in climbing. This grueling day had huge payoffs as we all enjoyed these amazing downhill trails after paying our dues. Check out the ...

Vertigo post dig day Spring 2024. This is to show you how the conditions are looking on vertigo yesterday, after the dig day last weekend and after some rain. Not sure why, but the rain didn't help as much as I thought it would on some of the jumps, there are still a few soft ones.

Gooseberry Mesa, Southern Utah
Переглядів 7912 місяці тому
Gooseberry Mesa in Southern Utah was an adrenaline filled long ride (took us 4.5 hrs) across 15 miles of stunning views of Zion national park. This trail system sits on top of gooseberry mesa out in Hurricane Utah and is a massive amount of biking work. Take plenty of food and water and maybe some salt pills. This is 2000 feet of up and down technical riding. Go have fun! Ride Log: www.trailfor...
Eagle Mountain blue flow trail, Rockwell Trail

Rockwell Trail in Eagle Mountain, just above the bike park, is an alternative to 220 and Rocky Balboa. This trail has flow, recently updated berms, drops, tech rock rolls, slat bridges and some jumps. It's a perfect little 20minute loop from the bike park in Eagle Mountain, and it works in winter! Well, it is rideable right now anyway. My ride log: www.trailforks.com/ridelog/view/62071568/ Musi...

Middle Spinaltap trail is an amazing section of trail out in the Pahvant trail system in Richfield Utah that has massive flow, some chunk and a ton of amazingly placed doubles. Telegraph trail, flow and drops in Richfield

Telegraph trail in the Pahvant trail system in Richfield UT has some pretty good drops and one of them is pretty dang big. A few weeks ago I got to ride Telegraph trail with my friends Tom and Andy. This trail is flowy and techy. It's my favorite combination of trail attributes. You go fast from the flow and you hit the drops hard with speed. I absolutely love this trail. What a trail. What a day.
Shuttle Guide for Corner Canyon: Jacobs to Rush to Limelight

This is a shuttle guide for Corner Canyon Mountain biking, how to do it with a shuttle! This is just one of several fun shuttle-able rides out here in CC. This one includes about 1000 feet of climbing. Most of that climb gets you access to Jacob's Ladder Trail. Super fun way to check out the north side of Corner Canyon and get a feel for some of the riding out here. You hit 2 major trails that ...

Rocky Balboa Trail, Eagle Mountain
Переглядів 6638 місяців тому
Rocky Balboa Trail is a technical downhill trail in Eagle Mountain Utah. This trail has a fair amount of fun technical rocks and some flowy turns after that tech. This is a great little 3 mile loop from the bike park and is really a lot of fun. The other great thing about this trail is that it's rideable when a lot of other trail systems aren't. This is due to being located farther west and hav...
Zooropa Trail fall 2023 update
Переглядів 1,2 тис.8 місяців тому
Zooropa trail in Corner Canyon (Draper) Utah has received an update. Actually I wouldn't call it an update, it's a complete reroute of the top section. It's a super fun set of great jumps, berms, shark fins, hips and other stuff. Watch as we explore the whole thing. Music Kermode - Tigerblood Jewel - Epidemic Sound
Undertow Trail, Deer Valley Bike Park
Переглядів 3798 місяців тому
Undertow Trail in Deer Valley, well, in Park City at the Deer Valley bike park is a super flowy fun trail which allows you to carry a lot of speed and hit a lot of fun rollers, some double and some jumps. The signs say it's a black trail, I'd say that rating is a bit inflated, it seems more like a blue to me, but it's a super fun trail. Even though DV is closed now for the year you can easily p...

I hit levitate for my first time today!
Nice. How did you like it?
Rode it the other day. It was super fun! Great update, perfect intermediate jump trail now.
Nice, Agreed 💯
Zooropa went from being a missed opportunity to possibly my fave up there. Now it's like a milder version of Regulator at DV. Both are awesome.
Great video, great new trail which will only get better with time. Masterful rebuild.
Dusty did an awesome job!
I had to open Spotify to verify my speakers weren't broken.
I broke my wrist on Blue Suede
Oh no I'm sorry. How did that happen?
I rode this last week. It's soooo much better! I don't understand people liking the old Zooropa... I can't wait for this version it to get packed in! On a side note, there is a new DH trail in Butterfield Canyon that is called Apex that you should review. It's not that big, I'd say it's as fun if not a little more fun than vertigo, but I like all the tight turns and hips in it. Rad new trail!
Thanks, I'll have to check it out!
Just rode that last night, such a good trail! Little loose in some spots still, my back wheel went into a rut I didn’t see half way up a takeoff and I about shit myself
I liked old zooropa just fine. But I’m excited to try this one
My son feels similar to you. This one just rolls faster.
Zooropa is so good now! It'll be amazing once it gets packed in!
Yes!
How do I get to it though? How do I look for it?
It's right by the drop in to vertigo and levitate.
Man that looks a massive improvement even from last year's rebuild of the top!
It an amazing improvement!
Looks sick! Can't wait to ride it
You will love it!
That trail looks awesome. Looks like something Ethan Nell would build.
That run up is gnar..
Yes. Makes the drop way scarier.
Not a chance on God’s earth would I do this. 😂
Portal is super fun tech, but has a few pretty sketchy spots.
The ESI racers edge are the most comfortable. They’re the smallest ones. Everyone overlooks them assuming chunky is the answer. Try them out, Esi racers edge. they’re the most comfortable!! and they give you as a Bonus more clearance to get it your dropper lever, and your shifters.
I do like them!
what trail head is this?
Maple hollow in draper. www.trailforks.com/trails/maple-hollow-dh-lower/
Do you ride an instinct or an altitude?
Altitude
@@RideLabs heck yea! Thats a great bike
I love it. Do you have one?
@@RideLabs yes I do, I have a 2021 Altitude C50
Nice
Looks like a fun little ripper. Almost did what you did here on Levitate the other day, just a momentary lapse in concentration. Hope you feel better soon man.
Yeah it's fun and gotta keep focus!
damn :O y, everybody hates crashing like that :(
Pure no-fun
@@RideLabs fwiw - pinch peripheral nerve at c5,c6,c7 can create s lot of arm pain, and dead arm
@@RideLabs best wishes for easy, fast, and complete recovery including the stoke and confidence!!!
Thanks!
Well darn, bummed I missed out on this! Sorry I couldn't join. Hope you heal up and are feeling better soon. It's almost prime riding season!!!!
Let's ride!
COMIN' IN HOT!!!!!
Haha, seriously
Rest up and heal up! Sorry about the crash!!
Thanks!
Dang. Those jumps look like they should be a lot bigger than they are. You weren't going very fast and to huck to flat that bad is crazy.
First run I scrubbed it and felt awesome. Next run I was going a little faster and didn't scrub it at all, kinda went right off it. That was really the big mistake.
It’s rideable but we still have a lot of plans for it, including signage, so it will evolve a lot over the next year or two. I definitely recommend a cruise through prior to sending.
Thanks for your work!
Had the same injury a week ago. Overshot a jump and landed sideways. Nothing broken, just sprained my wrist. How are you doing?
Black and blue hand and shoulder haha. How's the wrist?
@@RideLabs my wrist is getting better every day, been wearing a splint to minimize the use of it. A couple more weeks and hopefully I’ll be back again. Heal up fast man. Love your POVs!
Hey, thanks so much. Heal fast too!
Had no idea that trail was there. I’ll go give it a try.
Super fun but check the landings haha.
Can you drop a link to the trails you took or can you link to this ride in trail forks? The exact path you guys took.
www.trailforks.com/ridelog/view/69042023/
@@RideLabs Thanks!
@@RideLabs What do you think about the 12.5 mile levitate rush loop outlined on trailforks?
It's not highlighted for me. .. But it sounds like a good effort.
Nice work 👍🏼
Thanks 👍
Such a sick ride! “Dang, Talmage is so fast” that’s how I feel every time I ride with him haha.
Yes, so good. He pushes us all, but so did you!
Great video, it's good to see Rush again I hit it yesterday, and on mid-rush, there are still some big rain ruts so I can't go as fast. Also, I did the same ride as you guys with my friend because we wanted to try it and its a good one In the end we wished we had a ride back home but nope, we had to ride 4 miles more back home at lest it was a paved trail and not dirt.
Nice! Good job. It's a good one!
It's good that Levitate and Vertigo were rebuilt I still wish that they would do Rush someday it is filled with ruts right now from all of the rain and mud that looks fun hopefully you do Rush soon have a good one. 😀
Yeah, I rode rush Saturday, so I'll put up a video of it next.
what happened at that wreck? what caused it??
There was a tree on the side that had a stub of a branch at shoulder height. I was trying to ride the dirt at the bottom while avoiding the branch, but I failed.
Looks fun! Hope to hit it next week 😊
Nice! Go get it
Sweet 💯
Winter is over!!!
Hey buddy! This is Kip. I knew I recognized you from somewhere. Just didn't realize it was from watching your videos. haha. Great video! Thanks for all your help on the dig day!
Hey, thanks for all you did Kip!
Fun dig day. Thanks for documenting it and giving everyone a preview! It's too windy for me. I will have to wait until it dries up after this snow storm.
That was fun! Thanks for all your work. Yea, the wind was way sketchy. Hopefully soon.
Any new work on vertigo? Thanks for all your content and work with the trails!
Yea there were a bunch of people over there. But i haven't ridden it yet.
I wish I could of made it I crashed the day before on levitate got blown sideways on the final step up😂😂 and I’m still out of commission
Oh no. I'm sorry. How bad is it? Hope you heal up soon. I almost got blown over like 10 times.
Hahahaha thankfully you didn’t crash but I was able to make it to my practice I levitate this past Saturday as I had almost fully recovered and it’s so good thank you guys for the work
Thanks for the video and work! The improvements look awesome! I wish I could have made it to help and learn.
Thanks. It's going to be awesome.
I saw you we were at the top
Glad you were there! Huge improvements.
Next week. Who can join. ?
I wish!
looked like you had the notch until it knocked you over. good try. @19:15 massive redemption huck. cool.
It took me down a notch 😂
Pretty sure I walked this myself lol
Good idea haha
Just did this trail for the first time a couple of weeks ago. Good trail, beautiful views!
Yea it's a good long day.
I was wondering where ride labs went, no videos for a while. I love Gooseberry
Haha, long winter, but here I am! Thanks for wondering!
Did you have a Trailforks link for this ride?
Sorry, I forgot that. Ok, I just put it into the description.
definitely on the list now for my utah road trip!
It's a good long ride! Techy climbs and rock rolls everywhere!
Bru they gotta re build these jumps
They are pretty beat up now
